　　小锅盖是张家坡村的一位普通男青年，为人忠厚老实，踏实能干。由于许多女青年离开家乡到外地或在城市成家，导致农村男青年娶不上媳妇。小锅盖曾被介绍相亲，但因为养活老人问题未能成事。　　后来，媒婆又介绍了一个对象，他心里忐忑不安，硬是让好朋友岳光辉陪同去见面。意外的是，相亲对象竟是王二云的姐姐王大云。王大云虽然没有看上小锅盖，却对岳光辉动了心。小锅盖误以为王大云会来他家，准备迎接，却发现事情不如自己所料。失望之余，小锅盖决定发展养猪业，但在县城取经时却碰到了之前偷过王二云包的小偷。经过接触，小锅盖成功地引导他们走上正路，展示了他的善良和正直。
